WoW! Moments

        I wanted to share some coincidences or what I call them as few"WoW" moments in our lives.

Suraj and Karthick are related:

    Wait! What!! No way. Suraj and Karthick met at the Chennai airport to become room mates while doing their Masters at U of H. One fine day amidst Chennai floods, Karthick married his college sweetheart - Kavitha. It was the same time when our courtship began.

    Few months later, Suraj and Sakthi got married. Kavitha and Sakthi met for the first time in Houston. Sakthi showed her wedding video to Kavitha. Kavitha was smart eyed to spot her chithi (mausi) in our wedding. She, then narrated her chithi's love story of marrying a Sourashtra guy who is related to my dad's cousin. We connected the dots as to how Kavitha's chithi got invited to our wedding.

    Five years later, Kavitha's chithi son looked for a bride. The bride, he chose happens to be a relative of my chithi. Quite confusing, isn't it? Me as well :P

    This is how Suraj and Karthick are related i.e., through their wives' relatives :)

Ramanathan dha becoming our neighbor:

    Out of all the Sourashtra community people, Suraj invited for our wedding - there was one couple who turned up on our reception at Chennai - Ramanathan dha, Sridevi bei and Isha mai. 

    In 2018, I boarded the flight to Dubai and settled comfortably in my window seat. The real surprise was when I saw Ramanathan dha coming over to sit in the middle seat beside me. He, then explained me, how he had to book last minute flight to see his sick mother. Coincidence?

    In 2019, we built our house and invited Sourashtra community people for the house warming party. Our locality was a new section and the house next to us was being constructed that time. I had always kept wondering who could occupy this neighboring house. Ramanathan dha comes, helps Suraj and me to set out the lunch tables and whispers, "We bought the house next to yours"!.

        I had to pinch myself a number of times to believe what he said was true. It indeed was true. Suraj and I are immensely lucky and grateful to the Universe for placing them as our neighbours. :)
