If you don't get what you want!

If you don't get what you want!

When I was doing my Under Graduate programme, there was this course for Communication Skills for the first 2 semesters. Communication Skills is the same as English subject during our school times. The professor - Miss Kalpana for Comm Skills II (Semester: 2) was very good. We gave our best in Internal exams and the final exams. When I checked my Semester results online, I was shocked to find that I had got a 7C [between 60 - 70 marks]. I had a good Internal exam score and I was expecting a good score in final exams as well. In total, I was expecting a 'A' or 'B' grade and I definitely didn't expect a C.

It was my semester holidays when the results were out. I went to my college to meet Miss Kalpana in person and talk to her about this miscalculation. I explained her in details and she listened patiently. She said, since the results are out online, she cannot change anything now as the college would have started printing the grade sheets. I couldn't control my sadness and returned home with a heavy heart. Had I got an A or a B, I would have topped the class. That didn't happen. I had to let it go and gear myself for the upcoming semesters.

Fast forward to my 6th Semester and I had this course named 'Professional Communication'. It was the first day of the 6th semester and I was wondering who could be the professor. To my surprise, it was Miss Kalpana. The days went ahead and I gave my best in all exams. The results were out for 6th semester and I was surprised to have gotten a 10 A [between 90 - 100 marks]. Usually, Professors don't give 10 A grades very often in Communication Skills courses. It was a rare scenario.

I was grateful for getting this full grade because whatever I thought I lost in the second semester, I had gained it back in a period of 2 years. So, the moral of the story is: You will get what you deserve, if not today, someday in the future.
What is yours is always yours. No one can take it away from you. So, keep working towards your life goals. Cheers :)
